Trees, Karate, & Cam's 2nd Bday!

We've had so very much going on these past few days! I'm so excited to finally be able to sit down and write all about it...ready or not...!!

We went to get our Xmas tree this weekend...oh my was that FUN! We've never gone to a tree-farm to U-cut one before and so we all piled into the Tahoe with high expectations of finding the "perfect" tree! The boys absolutely LOVED walking thru the woods in the deep snow and I have to admit I was sorta giddy myself...it seems every year that goes by I enjoy this holiday season more and more and I think it's because I see the wonder and amazement in it all through the eyes of my sweet children. Anyways, back to the tree, we finally found the "one" and Andrew proceeded to chop, chop, chop, and then we attmepted to tie it onto the top of the car and pray that it didn't fly off on the way home...holy Griswalds!! HA!

And then...Brandon had a few milestones happen at karate this past week I really wanted to share with you all. First was that he graduated to a purple belt and everytime he gets a new belt he is so darn proud of himself (as he should be)...he works so hard in karate and deserves the recognition. I love to see him so happy...and then Friday night his karate school had a Holiday program and my parents were here for the weekend so they joined us...the "Little Dragons" got up on stage and did their "color codes of awareness" and proceeded to karate-chop their teacher ever-so-cutely! Brandon recieved 2 awards that night, the first for "excellent attendance" and the second for "best attitude". It was a very fun evening and one of the "1st's" in our many programs we will attend I'm sure.

And lastly...Cameron's 2nd Birthday was today! 2 years ago I was blessed with my laid-back, loving, snuggly, porky-eater, Thomas-the-train-loving, Cam-a-lam-a-ding-dong!! :-) We had a small party here for him at our house today and it was completely Thomas-themed, which he loved. I think he actually was a bit overwhelmed, but he did pretty well for the most part. Listen to the little video when he blows out his cake...it's so funny how proud he is of himself! And I am so proud to be his mother...he is such a blessing in my life...thank goodness for the past 2 years of our lives...
