Randomness

I'm having a very lazy day today- lazy as in not going anywhere too elaborate or making myself work too hard to chase kids in public! :-) It feels nice to have a day to catch up on being at home and watch my kids play and make up games to keep themselves entertained. Remember when we were little and we did that? My mom used to open the front door (or back door) and say in her nicest voice "OUT!!" ha~ these days I wouldn't even think to make my kids go out into the neighborhood unattended, but back then we always came home at dinnertime dirty with smiles on our faces from playing with our friends. I wish it was like that for my kids...I wish they had the luxury of playing with friends on their own and getting ice cream from the popsicle man, and riding their bikes to the park alone. Anyways, random thoughts as I sit here today...

Another thought I have today as I have some time to think...I really am thankful for all that I have. You know when your children say funny things, your husband comes home to relieve you from a long day of being the mommy, you get warm note from a friend in the mail? Life just feels good right now...
