A little bit of it all...

I think I agree with Tami about having a complex when I post without pictures...it's just seems weird eventho I have thoughts and things to share. Ok moving on...
Our nephew's surgery went very well I'm told, he's in recovery and doing good...thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. My boys each made him a little 'get well' card and we bought him a new Cars blanky to snuggle with as he's recovering...it's hard to teach little kids about surgeries and sickness, they were confused but accepted my words and had kind hearts about it so I think that's the most important part. We're hoping for a short visit to Seattle in November to visit with Jake and take some pictures of all the cousins :-)
Another thought in this Blogging world...have any of you checked out this Blog? I'm becoming addicted to her style of writing and she's very inspiring...I am intrigued by her story of her pregnancy and how she is so devoted to God and how He is comforting her through such a difficult time. And she has this wonderful "Not Me! Monday" weekly post that I'm going to give a try this next week- I just think there's something so totally honest and open about sharing all the funny things we do as mommies and also hearing what others "don't do"! Would anyone else like to join me? Check out this page to read about the guidelines : Not Me! Mondays!

Well the kitchen is done and I'm totally not inspired to paint, it's my absolute least favorite thing to do...but I have to in order to get it all done and feel completed...so maybe this weekend will bring a few hours of loud music and painting - because I think the two have to go together.

And then next week is Andrew's company's 100th year celebration- a Centennial Celebration! It's so hard ot believe that there is still a company out there that has reached this milestone...we are busy preparing for lots of family in town and dinner celebrations- I promise to post lots of pictures because I want to remember what a special time this was. One of the most sentimental thoughts I have about it all is what my boys are a part of...a company and a family who has deep roots and a strong business sense. That I am SO proud of...
