She's Here!

I never knew...how it would feel to be an auntie to my sister's baby. I mean, I think it's sorta along the lines of when you first become a mother and you have no idea how much your heart LOVES your baby after they come out of your tummy...until you finally meet them and you feel a brand new emotion that you've never felt before. That's how I felt when Kyndell was born on Friday morning, I had a new emotion. It was a deep sense of protectiveness combined with a loyalty to my niece for life. And a love so deep and crystal-clear that I felt like I was wearing my heart on the outside of my sleeve! my oh my that little princess has me wrapped around her sweet fingers (which by the way are long and slender and beautiful like her great-grandma Grace's). Here's my parents holding their first Grandaughter ;-)

My sister is a natural! She's a wonderful mother and I am so proud of her and how she handled her labor and delivery. It was a long, long, long labor and full of ups and downs but in the end it all was worth it ;-)
